Job Description

Job Summary The Web Technology Instructor is responsible for teaching, mentoring, and guiding students or trainees in web development and related technologies. The instructor will develop training materials, deliver practical and theoretical lessons, assess learners' performance, and ensure students acquire the skills required for modern web design and development careers. Key Responsibilities Deliver lectures, demonstrations, and practical training on web technologies. Teach web development concepts including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and related technologies. Prepare lesson plans, training manuals, assignments, and assessment materials. Guide students in developing websites and web-based applications. Monitor student progress and provide academic support where necessary. Evaluate assignments, projects, tests, and examinations. Stay updated with emerging web technologies and industry trends. Maintain training records and prepare reports on student performance. Assist in curriculum development and improvement of training programs. Ensure a conducive learning environment and adherence to institutional policies. Organize practical workshops, coding sessions, and project-based learning activities. Support students in career development and portfolio creation.

Requirements

Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, HND, OND, or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications in web development or related technologies will be an added advantage. Proven experience in web design and development. Required Skills Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. Knowledge of responsive web design principles. Familiarity with modern frameworks and libraries (e.g., Bootstrap, React, Laravel) is an advantage. Understanding of web hosting, domain management, and website deployment. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to learners of varying skill levels. Good classroom management and mentoring abilities. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in web development, teaching, training, or a related field. Experience in delivering practical ICT or technology training is an added advantage. Performance Indicators Student performance and completion rates. Quality of instructional delivery. Student satisfaction and feedback. Successful completion of practical projects by trainees. Compliance with curriculum and training standards.
